Groovy, a housemate on the Big Brother Naija reunion show, has denied allegations that he physically abused his ex-girlfriend, Phyna. He also denied sleeping with her PA.
Groovy said that he has never abused a woman before and would never do so. He said that he was not raised to do something like this to a woman. He added that his relationship with Phyna ended earlier this year, around January, due to personal issues. He said that he has moved on with his life since the relationship didn’t work.
Groovy said that he tried to reach Phyna after their relationship ended, but she ignored him. This is why he refused to respond to the rumors that were spread online claiming that Phyna physically abused him.
“You don’t come online to defend me, and to be honest, I’m just minding my business,” Groovy said. “Like I said, the relationship did not work, and even after that… No, I did not sleep with her PA. Like I said, they cook up a lot of stories. It wasn’t just that; there were several things that were said.”
Groovy’s denial of the allegations has been met with mixed reactions. Some people believe him, while others believe that he is lying. It is unclear what the truth is, but Groovy’s denial has put the spotlight on domestic violence and the importance of speaking out against it.
